Rob and the team up the road at The Royal Oak, Yattendon are thrilled to be the new landlords of the Pot Kiln, and can’t wait to see you all soon.

Inspired by studies and travels in Spain and the Basque country, we have created a BASQUE PUB – very rustic yet very comfortable, and accessible to all.

Whilst a subtle Basque feel will permeate throughout, its roots are firmly founded on those of a classic English pub – so while featuring top end Basque dishes fit for a destination dinner, it also offers simple pub snacks for a light lunch… while the food may be inspired by the Basque country, the ingredients are local… and while the wines may be sourced from Iberia, the beer is very much be English.

The headlines of the refurb are a huge extension to the bar, a stunning private dining room, seven beautifully appointed guest bedrooms, a totally relandscaped garden… and of course the impressive new outdoor pizza oven so that we can bring back the much-loved SUNDAY EVENING PIZZAS FROM SUNDAY 9TH. We don’t take bookings for pizzas, and you can join us from 4pm in the garden.

But the crowning glory is the sensational open kitchen, with a huge, CHARCOAL FIRED parilla grill and a BRICK OVEN as its centrepiece. Almost everything that we cook WILL BE COOKED ON THE GRILL, and all in front of the guests – very visual and very theatrical. And all overseen by the amazing Nick Galer who is heading up the kitchen brigade.

The Pot Kiln has been a really exciting project, and we’re thrilled to be finally open. You can book a table or a bedroom at the top of the page, or simply have a browse at the menu.
